For this series, I used four postcards that had been previously used and discarded by strangers and I letterpress printed obituaries overtop. I am interested in found postcards and obituaries for similar reasons. They are both semi-private windows into the lives of others—obituaries meant to publicly celebrate the life of a deceased to those who knew them and postcards being an open letter, available for anyone to read but meant for a specific person.
